2 Corinthians 8:9
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.
It is hard for our hearts to believe that God wants to bless us. We keep seeing how we have fallen short and our failures stand over us like a giant, reminding us that we are not worthy of any kindness. But the cross is God’s ultimate statement to us: Jesus took our shortcomings upon Himself so that we can experience His grace and mercy. Remember that today, for the favor of God through Christ is available to all of us. The journey from the promises of Scripture to our heart is the toughest journey of all.
