For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.
It is hard for our hearts to believe that God wants to bless us. We keep seeing how we have fallen short and our failures stand over us like a giant, reminding us that we are not worthy of any kindness. But the cross is God’s ultimate statement to us: Jesus took our shortcomings upon Himself so that we can experience His grace and mercy. Remember that today, for the favor of God through Christ is available to all of us. The journey from the promises of Scripture to our heart is the toughest journey of all.
What an awesome weekend we had at Union Grove Baptist Church. We want to thank all the people that put this 100th homecoming together and all the festivities. Saturday began with a blast seeing all the children enjoying the inflatable bounce houses and slides. Then we had an awesome time of food and fellowship afterward. After that we got to enjoy a wonderful time with music. We want to thank the Tuttle family for being a part of this special occasion with us. Our very own “Followers” put an awesome show on for us also. We have uploaded a video of the performance on the homepage for a short time but it will continue to stay up under the music ministry tab for everyone’s enjoyment.
Then today we had an awesome service put together with music and ministry from past preachers of Union Grove. It was awesome to see everyone coming home for this celebration. It’s awesome to see how much a church is like a family and no matter what children might go away for a while and start their own journeys, it’s awesome to see them all in the same house at one time again.
We wouldn’t have made it 100 years without an awesome church family. You can feel the love for toward everyone right when you walk into those doors. It’s awesome to know that your family can be more then just your extended family; it can be your church family also that is as big of a part of your life then your own family. We look forward to starting a new 100 years and watching this church grow in size and love.
