Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

The Holy Spirit’s work in our lives reminds us that there are amazing things ahead that we don’t see. It is God who has graced us to stand firm in Christ. Any power that we have is what He has given us. Any sense of progress is because He is with us. When you feel that your life is going nowhere, remember that the very presence of God is with you as a down payment of a glorious future. This will keep us from focusing on ourselves and focus on the glories of God’s provision in our lives.
